Can men experience a "blow-out" post-vasectomy?

I thought I knew a lot about health and reproductive health. How widespread is it that men have pain and disability post-vasectomy? I am not for or against the procedure. I do believe, however, that we should be educated about all aspects of risk if there are risks.
